How to Use (Epoxy Resin + Hardener)

Using our epoxy products is simple and ensures a long-lasting, professional finish if applied correctly. Please follow these steps carefully:

1.

Surface Preparation

Proper surface preparation is essential for adhesion and durability.

  • Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, debris, and contaminants.

  • Remove any grease, oil, wax, or loose particles using a suitable cleaner or degreaser.

  • For best results, lightly sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper to create a mechanical bond.

  • Wipe the area with a lint-free cloth or tack cloth to remove all sanding residue.

2.

Mixing the Epoxy

Our epoxy system includes two components: Resin (Part A) and Hardener (Part B).

  • Mix both components in the exact ratio specified on the product label (usually by volume or weight).

  • Pour Part B into Part A and stir slowly and thoroughly for 3–5 minutes using a clean mixing stick or paddle.

  • Mix until the solution is completely uniform in color and consistency. Avoid introducing air bubbles during mixing.

  • Only mix the amount you can use within the working (pot) time of the product.

3.

Application

Apply the mixed epoxy evenly and efficiently:

  • Use a roller, brush, trowel, or spreader, depending on the application surface and type.

  • For floor coatings: Start from one corner of the room and work in small sections, maintaining a wet edge to prevent lap marks.

  • For tile fixing, repairs, or bonding: Apply a thin, even layer to both surfaces being bonded, if possible.

  • Avoid over-application, which can lead to sagging or uneven finish.

4.

Curing Time

Curing is a critical stage that determines the final strength and finish:

  • Allow the epoxy to cure undisturbed for 24–48 hours, depending on the specific product and environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity.

  • Ensure the surface remains dry, dust-free, and protected from heavy loads or traffic during the curing period.

  • Full mechanical and chemical resistance may take up to 7 days.

5.

Safety Precautions

Safety should always be a top priority during handling and application:

  • Always wear protective gloves, safety goggles, and a mask or respirator to avoid contact with skin and inhalation of fumes.

  • Work in a well-ventilated area. If indoors, use fans or open windows to improve airflow.

  • Keep the products away from heat sources, sparks, or open flames.

  • Store all components out of reach of children and pets.

  • In case of skin contact, wash immediately with soap and water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.

6.

Post-Application Care and Maintenance

Once fully cured, epoxy surfaces require minimal maintenance, but some care will extend their life:

  • Clean the surface regularly with a soft cloth or mop and non-abrasive, pH-neutral cleaner.

  • Avoid dragging heavy or sharp objects across the surface to prevent scratches.

  • For high-traffic areas, consider using protective mats or rugs to reduce wear.

  • Do not expose the surface to harsh chemicals unless it's rated for chemical resistance.
